What I have learnt about Thanksgiving (Rayane, 4th grade)<\/strong> : I learnt about the Mayflowr. The Mayflower was a boat with people from England (called the Pilgrims) who went to America in 1620. They found people called Native Americans. It was a cold winter, the Pilgrims were starving. the Native Americans helped them, they learnt how to grow corn. One year later, they made a big feast together. It was the first Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, for Thanksgiving, we meet our families and have dinner with traditionnally turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and a pumpkin pie. Thanksgiving is the 4th Thursday in November (Rayane)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
